Volunteer Opportunities

Concho Valley Family Alliance

Help at monthly meetings (first Tuesday of each month at 12:00pm). Assist with set up and or clean-up; meal preparation, greeter, and recorder of minutes. Time investment 1 to 2 hours per month.

Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA)

CASA volunteers are ordinary people that want to make a life-long difference in a child’s life. CASAs receive specialized training and are appointed by a District Judge to serve as advocates for children who have been removed from their homes due to abuse or neglect. Volunteers must have a heart for children and commit to a year to ensure that each child is represented throughout his or her entire case. Thirty hours of training required and each case requires 10-20 hours per month. Make a difference – be a CASA!

Family Enrichment Services

Help by supporting the program which provides ongoing support groups and classes to parents and children. Volunteers may assist by providing our clients with snacks such as baked good, donated snacks, set up or clean-up and helping prepare meals. Assistance with childcare does require a background check. Time investment 2-4 hours per week.

Prevention Program Assistant

Help spread the word about the services and programs available to all families by distributing information throughout the community – doctor’s office, hospitals, library, WIC office, help us find new groups to talk to about our center and the programs. Set your own hours!

Visitation Observation Notes & Questions

Visiting between parents and their children is an essential component of work with children in foster care and their families. It is also a right and a responsibility retained by parents.
